About the artist

Hey, Sarah here-- AKA "Rynnay".
I'm a 22 going on 23-year-old art student living back and forth between North Carolina and school in Georgia. I have an Associates degree in Digital Animation from the School of Communication Arts Raleigh. I'm currently finishing up a Bachelor's degree in Sequential Art at the Savannah College of Art and Design with a focus in pre-production conceptual design-- which is a fancy way of saying I like concept art. Despite what my degree suggests, my market focus is animation for feature film, television, and video games, because no matter how old I get, I can't not like animation.

My drawing style was originally influenced by anime, followed by a healthy layer of western/European influences later on in the years. My animation influences are traditional works done by the old-school Dreamworks Animation with films such as The Road to El Dorado.

I'm also a writer, though none of my writing samples can be found on this site. My writing influences include fantasy writers such as Steven Brust and his Vlad Taltos series and Carol Berg.I currently have a work of fantasy fiction in progress, intended for publication in the far future, once I find the time to finish it.

Many of the works found on this site are directly inspired by the characters and stories I work on, both involving the aforementioned novel-in-progress and other yet-unwritten works bouncing around in my head. Therefore my personal work is predominantly character and story-driven either in relation to unfinished stories or maybe even roleplays unless otherwise noted.

My favorite things include cats and dogs, Italian and junk food (excluding hard candy), sleeping in, fantasy fiction (both writing and reading it), small, interesting handheld gadgets, and a bunch of other things.
